Well well…plant lesson? I guess I should not even call this a lesson. It’s an experiment! My son and I planted seven seeds a week ago. It’s been good so far.
I have a brown thumb. Last victim was succulents. How could anyone kill succulents? That is a talent. I always want to have green plants in the house everywhere I live, but I somehow ended up killing them except when I was in Barcelona. I usually water them too much and rot them in the pot. Always not sure how much and when to give?:-)
So, I was not sure if I should even start this experiment when I first thought about introducing my son to something new. I thought it would be a great experience for him to learn taking care of something and how life works. IF I DIDN’T KILL IT IN FRONT OF HIM:-) Well, I guess that would also be a great lesson too. I bought this kit for growing some mini sunflowers. They come with all I need for the experiment plus a mini picture book that describes the life cycle of a sunflower.
I have been enjoying this experiment so far. I haven’t planted seed since I was 4 or 5 years old. I am hopeful for happy flowers to come! (My son calls sunflower “happy flower”.)🌻
